Circa touring ‘Beyond’ to Darwin & other cities

Circa, an ensemble of multi-skilled circus artists under the direction of Yaron Lifschitz, will bring its new show Beyond to the Darwin Entertainment Centre on June 15-25.

The show invites viewers to step over the line “between human and animal, between madness and sanity, between logic and dream… and to go beyond.”

Beyond is promoted as a “warm, surreal and unexpectedly moving” production that blends dynamic circus acts—like trapeze and Chinese pole—with cheeky feats of strength. It’s set to a bewitching mix of show tunes, ballads and electronica.

Set on multiple stages that take viewers into various worlds, Beyond is presented by seven artists that “express their inner selves.”

With lighting design by Jason Organ and costumes by Libby McDonnell, Beyond is an 80-minute show that will tour to many other Australian cities this year.

Over the next four months, Circa will tour to Bathurst, Redlands, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Lismore, Port Macquarie, Mt Gambier, Griffith, Bordertown, Lameroo, Renmark, Canberra, Port Pirie, Whyalla, Cummins, Port Lincoln, Ceduna, Wollongong and Alice Springs.
