Contemporary Clash Comp coming up

Contemporary Clash Comp 2017Are you looking for a dance competition with an industry-recognised adjudicator? One offering cash prizes in a professional, friendly environment? One that’s also educational and hosting workshops with the adjudicator?

Enter Contemporary Clash 2017, the next instalment of a fast-growing competition organised by IN-SIGHT Dance Events Founders Morgan Holt and Rebekah Vulic. It will be held in Sydney on August 19 and 20 at Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club.

The incredible Sarah Boulter will be the adjudicator. Her credits include all three Australian seasons of So You Think You Can Dance, Giggle and Hoot, and Mayor International Congress Awards representing Sydney Dance Company. More recently she choreographed the dance scenes in Dance Academy: The Movie.

Contemporary Clash invites entries for the following categories: Solos, Championships, Duos/Trios/Quartets, and Group Sections. Entries are now open and will close on July 18.

Holt told Dance Informa, “It’s a lot of work to organise something like this, and it’s even harder to make it a friendly environment. But we have had nothing but amazing comments about how lovely it is to see all of the competitors and their parents getting along, talking and making new friendships. That’s why I love what I do. No competition needs to be a stressful environment, especially for young kids who are just doing what they love.”
