Interested in becoming a Barre Instructor?

Aleenta BARRE Teacher Training CourseAre you a professional dancer looking to supplement your income between contracts? Or a dance teacher looking to train in a new skill set? Or a studio owner wanting to expand your class offerings? If so, Aleenta BARRE’s Barre Instructor Training Course might be a great program to consider.

Alicia Harvie, a Gold Coast based dancer originally from Adelaide, created the Barre Instructor Training Course in collaboration with physiotherapist Dan Simon Harvie and Aleenta BARRE.

Alicia wrote to Dance Informa, “As a dancer, Barre teaching has been an awesome job to help me keep fit but also earn money in-between dance contracts. The greatest thing about it is that dancers make the best Barre Instructors and it so closely relates to our skill set. Like myself I know of at least 10 other dancers who found work after graduating teaching Barre as they build on their dance careers.”

She said that she wrote this teacher training course to “provide a chance for dancers to not have to do another hugely expensive and time consuming course” but to instead offer a short course that “builds on their already high level training.”

The course requires four days of in-person training and two weeks of online content. It’s a Fitness Australia approved CEC Program and it costs about $1300.

Full courses are being offered in Adelaide, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney throughout the year. One-day ballet workshops are also being offered at each training location.
