‘Jersey Boys’ musical to return to Sydney

Jersey Boys musical to return to SydneyThe Jersey Boys musical will return to Sydney in September 2018 for the start of a new Australian tour. Auditions will be held in July and early August this year.

 

Jersey Boys tells the true-life story and rise to stardom of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, who were one of the most successful bands in pop music history. The band sold over 175 million records and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for their worldwide hits, including Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Walk Like A Man, Bye Bye Baby, Sherry and Big Girls Don’t Cry, which all feature in the musical.

 

The musical first opened on Broadway in November 2005 and closed in January 2017 after 11 years. The West End production closed in March this year after nine years in London. Winner of 64 honours and audience awards worldwide, Jersey Boys has played to over 23 million people and grossed in excess of US $2 billion worldwide.

 

The 2010 Sydney season of Jersey Boys played for 15 months, making it one of the longest running musicals in Sydney history.
