Plus, SUPERCELL just announced mid-December its next wave of the 2017 program: Independent Dance Exchange, known as INDEX for short. It will serve as a platform for new works to be presented by local Queensland dance artists from 22 – 25 February. It will strive to “encourage fresh perspectives from audience members, generate innovative ideas for choreographers and open doors for collaborative opportunities for homegrown artists.”

The 2017 INDEX artists include Courtney Scheu, Jacob Watton, Stephanie Pokoj and Emma Wilson (with Luke Jaaniste and Denise Comba.)

In addition, SUPERCELL will feature a workshop and engagement program to allow artists to share their diverse styles, skills and knowledge with other professional contemporary dancers, as well as the general public and dance enthusiasts.

The first workshop of the program to be revealed is “Bare Bones.” It will be delivered over the course of three days by The Farm for professional and emerging dance artists 18 years and over.
