Yellow Wheel and LYDT join forces

The Golden Age/In TransitYellow Wheel and Loco Youth Dance Theatre (LYDT), both premier youth dance companies based in Victoria, have joined forces to present The Golden Age/In Transit, two new dance theatre works featuring the next generation of emerging dancers.

For Yellow Wheel, choreographer Joshua Lowe has created The Golden Age, a comment on the misplacement of value. Lowe also choreographed for Yellow Wheel’s 2014 major season, which has just been shortlisted for an Australian Dance Award.

For LYDT, choreographer Ru Atma and RAWcollective present In Transit, which explores the characters, sterile landscape and undefined culture of the airport.

Presented by the Frankston Arts Centre on Friday and Saturday, August 21 and 22 as a part of the 2015 Anywhere Festival, these site-specific works are sure to push you to the edges. For more information, or to book tickets, visit http://anywherefest.com. Tickets are free.
